Please note if you are looking for an evening time on the weekends, we apologize but we can not accommodate you with a private function. For large groups on weekends, we offer bookings for up to 30 guests with our high tables option on the bookings page HERE

DepositsThe booking deposit paid becomes credit for the organizer to spend on food and beverage. The deposit depends on the booking times chosen. Please see the food and beverage sections for info on spending deposits.

CancellationsPrivate function cancellations must be sent in writing via email to enquiries@henleysbrisbane.com If cancellations are received more than 7 days before the booked date, we will be more than happy to provide a refund of the deposit paid or assist with rescheduling. If the cancellation is received less than 7 days prior to the booked date, the deposit will need to be charged as a cancellation fee.

BeverageThere is no requirement for having a bar tab and guests are more than welcome to order and pay for their own drinks. We can easily set up a bar tab if necessary though and limit it to whatever the organizer requires. Arrival drinks are possible and our team can advise how best to go about this for the specific occasion. Our full drinks menu is available during functions, unless items are out of stock. Our menu pricing and selections do occasionally change and may change from the date of booking to the date of the function, but clients can always see the current menus on our website.

FoodAt this stage we only have our standard food menu, there are no other menus. A-la-carte food is not available in a private function, but organizers can pre-order food for the day, as long as the order is more than $400 in value. Our team is more than happy to help organizers figure out the best selection of items to share.

Outside BeveragesPrivate function guests attempting to bring beverages into the venue for consumption will be removed from the function and the property and not allowed re-entry. It is the responsibility of the booking organizer to ensure this does not occur.

Cakes & Outside FoodOutside food in private functions is welcome but this will not be handled by Henley’s staff, Henley’s staff will only be there for bar service. Outside food can be brought in but this means outside plates and servingware must also be brought in as well. This extends to items such as cakes, cupcakes, donuts, and other food items also. If the organizer chooses to pre-order Henley’s food then our team will have extra staff for food service and organizers will not need to bring anything relating to food. If the organizer wants to bring outside food instead, then we will only have staff for bar service.

Corporate ClientsIf you are making a booking on behalf of a business or corporation and are not able to pay the deposit online via card payment, please let us know via email and we will arrange an invoice for you to pay your deposit via bank transfer instead. The booking will not be secured until the deposit is paid.

DecorationsOrganizers are welcome to come 1 hour before the start time to do any decorating necessary for the function (the venue will be unattended and locked until 1 hour before). Unfortunately Henley’s does not have storage to store large decorations on-site, so all large decorations must be taken at the end of the function. Booking organizers are liable for any damage to the venue (including, but not limited to, wall paint) caused by decorations and decorators involved with their private function bookings. Decorative table candles are permitted but they can not be ignited for safety reasons. Confetti is not permitted and cleaning fees will apply if this is broken.

DamagesThe organizer accepts that the cost to repair or replace any furnishings, fittings or equipment that have become damaged as a result of the actions of their guests, will be the responsibility of the organizer.

ParkingWe apologize we do not have any on-site parking for guests but we are surrounded by street-parking and residential areas close by within walking distance. We recommend for guests to utilize public transportation where possible.

Guest IDHenley’s urges all function guests to bring a valid form of photo identification, and reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron or guest, or remove any patron or guest from the property that does not present a valid form of identification upon request.

Entertainment & AVUnfortunately Henley’s does not have any AV capabilities except for being able to play playlists via Spotify. There is no capability for entertainers to connect to the Henley’s audio system. As the venue shares a building with offices that are guaranteed quiet hours of work, only acoustic performers can be accommodated.

FurnitureThe only furniture available is what is already inside the venue, with the addition of some stools kept in storage. The venue has seating for 50 guests total, with an additional 10 stools in storage.
